Community Weather Research Working Group

Purpose

The CWRWG promotes scientific leadership for the coordination of U.S. involvement in the PPP, S2S and HIW efforts. Additionally, the CWRWG informs the IWRCC on matters concerning the scientific integrity and progress of such projects.

Terms of Reference for CWRWG

Associated Groups

The parent committee for the CWRWG is the Interagency Weather Research Coordination Committee.

Membership

The CWRWG shall consist of no more than 18 members, including up to three Co-Chairs.
Expertise of the membership, to the extent possible, will span the scientific breadth of the impactful weather research including its societal component.
Membership should include representatives of IWRCC member agencies, other government agencies, academia, other North American weather research agency representatives, and the private sector.
